Jaya
Has become a expert swordswoman, and invented the game "Sword-fighting princesses and monsters."
Plays an excellent princess, and an even more excellent monster.
Also plays a convincing doctor.
Willingly gave away toys and clothes to "other kids that need stuff."
Is learning Malayalam. Current favorite word is mookala മുഖള (boogers).
Is mastering jigsaw puzzles (By MYSELF!)
Could rival most supermodels with her catwalk strut.
Had on-stage dancing debut, entirely improvised.
Refused to wear anything except her favorite long blue skirt 9 days out of 10.
Runs really, really fast.
Raja
Recognizes lots of words, can point to nose, light, sister, daddy, etc.
Uses the same word for Mama and Food - Mamama.
Plays an adorable monster, and a credible nurse, despite the climbing all over the patient.
Has developed a dancing repertoire - the head shake, the twist, the booty bounce, the wrist dance, and the ever present one-leg wag n' stomp.
Is an opening filler - sees a hole, has to figure out what can fit into it. (Dangerous - includes electric sockets and nostrils, therefore needs constant watching)
Is becoming a master walker.
Can throw both over- and underhand.
Loves to help - brings Daddy his glasses, feeds Mamama, brings Jaya toys.
Grew his missing front tooth.
Marei
Is expanding his cooking skills to include much more than oatmeal and scrambled eggs.
Reread the Book of Mormon in 31 days.
Is the funnest stay at home Dad ever.
Leatha
Read The Alchemist.
Wrote some poetry and some prose.
Inspired someone to tandem nurse.
the whole Wild family
Dressed up as a family of crayons for a holiday costume party, in accordance with our cheap costume philosophy.
Made the best of canceled beach outings and rainy days with dance parties, sword fights, the "Be still!" game, Charades, building blocks and anything else that qualified as a generally wild rumpus.
Attended parties, receptions, and birthdays galore.
Missed family and friends a lot!

Oh I got all teary eyed cause I miss you all so much. What a lovely christmas holiday. Just think how much more fun stuff they can do next year in the snow... Jaya is such a good dancer and singer and not to mention an awesome swords-princess. She whooped on Raji that last swordfight. And Raji is a cute lil dancer with his stomping leg, thats a papa move. We all missed you at christmas, but we will see you soon. Uma the kiddies from their Aunty. Love you bro and sis. Aunty Rana sioux. PS, I think next year we should have a dance contest.
Oh your holidays looked like so much fun! Jaya's catwalk and swords skills are awesome. Rajas booty bounce is my favorite of his dance moves lol. He looks like he is walking all over the place. How did you like the Alchemist? I have read that book upwards of 5 times- probably more. I love it and for me it got better each time I read it. I read The Red Tent this weekend. I think you will really like that book because its largely about midwifery and menstrual cycles and mothers.
I have been wanting to read The Alchemist. Email me and tell me how you liked it.
I am cracking up at little Raja sword fighting. So dang cute!
HI Jaya, you have to let your blue skirt rest, cause sometimes it needs a wash, and if you wear the blue skirt too much it will get tired, and warn out, and may even die. Sorry that i forgot to call you on your birthday, but your a big girl now, geez three years old. Make sure that brother and daddy don't eat their mookala's. LoL
Love uncle Marlin
Uncle Marlin just cause you eat your mookalas doent mean everybody does!!!!! And the skirts going to die?
LMAO!
What a bachelor!!!
The funny thing is, after I read Marlin's comment to Jaya, she put that together with the fact that the skirt has gotten a hole in it, and has decided to "let it rest."
