a wonderful Saturday

My Raji (as Jaya likes to call him) is back to his usual happy healthy self.  Jaya was playing mommy this morning as I put Raja to sleep in his sling...she decided to put Dora to sleep in her mini- mei tai carrier, that our wonderful friend back in the US, Sherri Edwards, helped me make.  It's a miniature version of mine.
We had a relaxing, leisurely morning, and went out to buy some things for the house at the Ayala Mall here in Cebu.  As you can see in the pics, it's huge!   We definitely live in a city.  There isn't much we could want to buy that isn't available.  In the afternoon, the kids napped while we visited with some of our new friends here, and learned some Cebuano and some Tagalog.  Tagalog is the national language of the Philippines, while Cebuano is the local language spoken here in Cebu.  Marei played some basketball at the park, and yes, he still wears sneakers and hasn't ventured the flip-flop/barefoot route (yet).  The kids and I played on the swings and watched the game.  Then we took a trike, which is a bicycle with a sidecar attachment to sit in, to go and have some delicious Chinese food for dinner.  We came home, took refreshingly cold showers, put the kids to bed, and are now going to watch a movie.  I can't remember the last time we had a Saturday like this.  It was awesome!  I can't think of anything better than spending a relaxing day with my husband and my babies.  Life here is good!
